    Welcome!

    Welcome to Ms. Kempton's Kindergarten class! I started my teaching career way back in 1993 when I moved to Arizona from Queens Village, New York! I was fortunate to be part of the opening staff here at Carlson and have been teaching Kindergarten since! It is so exciting to watch my students grow academically, emotionally, and physically. I have 2 girls that were brought up in the Chandler school district and have now moved on to college.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I attended St. John's University where I earned my bachelor's degree in Education with a minor in Spanish. I also attended Queens College where I earned my master's degree in teaching English as a Second Language. I taught in Goodyear and in Scottsdale before moving to Chandler. I have taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, and 6th grade. The majority of my career has been teaching English as a second language.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My mission is to prepare a community of life-long learners to be productive and empowered citizens capable of successfully participating in society, by providing high quality instruction in an environment that is challenging, safe, and fun.
