    Hello, and thank you for visiting! It is my pleasure to work with you and your child this year in social studies. I look forward to a year of new understandings, critical thinking, and supportive relationships. Should you need any assistance this year, please feel free to contact me. I am happy to help!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have enjoyed teaching middle and high school grades since 1994 and have been employed in Chandler since 1996. I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Chandler family and cannot imagine myself in any other profession than teaching.

    I came to Arizona from Michigan where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Western Michigan University in 1994. In addition, I received my Master's of Education degree from Northern Arizona University in 2001.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My educational philosophy is to teach children to think about multiple perspectives, and by doing so, to reach their own conclusions about the world around them. It is my hope to help educate future citizens who can think critically and creatively, to seek truth based on evidence, and to accept others.
