My Educational Philosophy

I love teaching Junior High students as they are developing there young minds. My goal is to help ALL students become problem solvers and to approach situations with an "I can do Math" attitude. I pride myself in creating a classroom climate where students feel encouraged to participate by sharing and presenting information with their peers and teachers. It is extremely important for my students to try their best and to understand that making mistakes is how we learn and that learning math is definitely a process. I enjoy seeing my students succeed and grow throughout the year. I feel it is really important for my students to be self-advocates and develop skills that will help them succeed in high school and life in general.
