Greetings and welcome to our World History class. I am John Prothro, the elated husband of Roxane and thankful father of Alyssa, John and Stephen. I thoroughly enjoy teaching and believe that everyone, with appropriate effort, can succeed!

My Education and Professional Background

I earned my BA in History from UCLA. My teaching experience began in 1985; 7 years at Menlo Avenue School; 3 years at Franklin School; 7 years at Sanborn Elementary School; 4 years at CTA Liberty Schoo; 8 years at Willis Junior High School and 2 years at Perry High School.l

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that all students can learn. Given structure, a caring environment and motivation, all students can succeed.
