• Jane Dee Hull Elementary's Proud Heritage
    Jane Dee Hull
Jane Dee Hull has led a distinguished life of public service, starting as an educator in the 1960s and then progressing to the Arizona legislature in 1979.  During her tenure, Governor Hull became the state's first woman to become Speaker of the House; she was elected as Arizona's 16th secretary of state in 1994, and became Arizona's 20th governor, succeeding J. Fife Symington in 1997.*

Governor Hull's commitment to children and education prompted Chandler Unified School District to name Jane Dee Hull Elementary in her honor.  Hull Elementary opened its doors in the fall of 2001 and has distinguished itself in the Cooper Commons community ever since.  Hull Elementary's first principal, Jan Weyenberg, assembled an excellent, dedicated, and hard-working staff that fostered its welcoming and academically vital reputation. Current principal, Cheryl Bromich, and Hull Elementary's staff are ably carrying that tradition forward, having earned both Arizona Excelling School status, and an A+ designation from the Arizona Education Association.
