    Welcome to 8th Grade Science! I am a proud product of CUSD, and feel so blessed to be teaching here at Santan. My husband and I have two children, and they are our greatest joys. I am a lover of coffee, my Golden Retriever, photography, am a fan of all AZ sports, and can guarantee that all my students are taller than me. :)

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education - General Sciences (GO LUMBERJACKS!). I have had the opportunity to teach at multiple grade levels, but especially enjoy working with junior high students. I have been fortunate enough to call SJHS my “home” since 2012. I love the uniqueness each school year brings and cherish the forever memories I build in my classroom with my 8th graders!

    My Educational Philosophy

    I wish to provide a classroom environment where students feel comfortable and respected in sharing information, asking questions, and giving presentations. With high school just around the corner, I feel it is very important that students develop study skills and responsibility necessary to make them successful as they progress through their secondary school years. I hope to instill a love for learning in my students, that encourages and builds each of their unique strengths. I am passionate in sharing my knowledge and love for Science with my students!
