• Role of the Student Council

    Classroom Representative

     

    Fulton Elementary Student Council: 

    • helps solve school problems to make the school a better place to learn.  

    • works on school/district-wide projects that help the community. 

    • works on fun activities which promote school spirit for the whole school.

     

    The classroom representative holds an important position in the structure of Fulton Elementary Student Council. Each classroom representative is elected by students and the teacher from one class. He/She represents the interests and feelings of the class in Student Council’s decision making.

     

    The Classroom Representative: 

    a. attends all Student Council meetings 

    b. brings the ideas, interests, and concerns of his/her classmates to the meetings. 

    c. reports back to the homeroom class and buddy class regarding what was decided at a meeting. 

    d. serves on committees. 

    e. encourages other students to get involved in Student Council activities. 

    f. provides volunteer service during select school events.
