    Welcome!

    Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Nikole Bohn and I am very excited to be your child's third grade teacher this year. This is my thirteenth year teaching and my 11th year teaching third grade. Third grade is a critical year for students as they are no longer learning to read but reading to learn. Mrs. Shao and I are partner teachers in the DLI program, and we love seeing students grow academically.

    My Education and Professional Background

    In 2011, I graduated from a small liberal arts school, Carroll University, in Wisconsin with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education.  I also graduated with endorsements in Early Childhood and Adaptive Education. After graduation, I moved to Arizona to start my teaching career. In 2013, I joined the Tarwater family and haven't looked back!

    My Educational Philosophy

    It is my goal as a teacher to inspire children to become life-long learners. It is my job to provide students with a safe learning environment that they enjoy being in, but always will succeed. I want to provide students with the resources and information necessary to help them succeed in their future. Plus, I want to make learning as much fun as possible! The classroom and school should be a place students want to come. Something new and exciting is happening everyday in third grade.
