    Greetings and welcome to third grade at Riggs Elementary School.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my Bachelor's of Science Degree from Ottawa University. In the past, I have been involved with teaching district level classes, helping teachers set up their classroom, and a part of the Teachers Assisting Teacher team. I have been teaching since 2003.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I have a great love for working with children and their parents to meet their educational goals. Education is my lifetime career. I have specific goals for this year. First, I like to make school an enjoyable experience. I want your child to love to learn as much as I do. I believe, with the right support, all children can experience success. This is a wondrous time when your child will not only learn new things, but also develop an 'academic independence' where students will begin to take on more responsibilities in school and at home. I look forward to working with you and your child as a team to make this an exceptional school year.
