    Welcome to 8th grade ELA! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child, and working together to create a positive learning environment. This will be a wonderful school year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am originally from the East coast. I grew up in New York & New Jersey, and went to college in Boston, MA. I worked as a project manager for a design firm in Miami, FL and Phoenix, AZ before making a career change to teaching. I received my Masters in Elementary Education from Arizona State University in 2009, and I entered Chandler Unified School District in 2014 with over ten years of teaching experience, augmented by seven years of project management experience. I currently hold a SEI (Structured English Immersion), Middle grades 6-8 ELA, and K-12 Gifted endorsement.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My teaching philosophy is that children thrive when they are in a safe, nurturing, and consistent environment that allows them to explore and learn at their own pace.
