Hello! I am so excited to join the Fulton Family! I am looking forward to a great school year filled with laughter and learning! My family and I moved from State College Pennsylvania! My husband is coaching at Arizona State. We have two young children, and they are loving all of the sunshine here. We are so excited for our new adventure!

I received my bachelors degree in early childhood and special education from Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa. I also played softball there. I then went on to get my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Edinboro University. I have taught Pre K- 6th grade special education throughout my career. Originally from Texas I moved to Arizona in 2020. I attended the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Science with a specialization in Biology. After receiving my bachelor's degree, I enrolled in a post-bachelorette program and received my state certification in science. My additional state certifications include school counseling k-12 and ESL Supplemental. I received my Masters of Education in Counseling and Guidance awarded on December 2017. I am certificated school counselor in both Arizona and Texas. I am a board certified Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I received my Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and I have spent the last 25 years in a variety of sales, leadership, and training roles in the corporate world. Three years ago I decided to pursue my dream of being a teacher and I have recently earned my Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University. In music class, we will learn about music through a variety of experiences. We will be singing, dancing and moving, reading musical notation, playing instruments, listening to music, and analyzing music.

A Chandler resident for 13 years, I attended Bogle Junior High School and graduated from Hamilton High School in 2010. After high school, I pursued my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University. Upon completion of my Bachelor's degree, I moved to New York City to obtain my Master of Music in Voice from Mannes School of Music. I am extremely excited to be at Fulton Elementary for my fifth year of teaching and can't wait to inspire hundreds of young musicians!

Welcome!! I grew up in Springfield, IL and have only lived in AZ for a year! My husband, Jim, works for CDW. We have three kids. Addison is 6 years old, and will be in 1st grade at Charlotte Patterson. My twins, Avalon and Lincoln, are 4 years old, and attend the Pre-K at Basha High School. We also have a 120 lb. German Shepherd named Zola.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in 2008 at Illinois State University. I then went on to get my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Aurora University. This will be my 12th year teaching. Previously, I taught 5 years of 6th grade, and 6 years of 5th grade in Yorkville, IL. Last year, my family and I moved from Oswego, IL to Gilbert, AZ. During that transition, I was a long-term substitute in Kindergarten.

I graduated from Arizona State University (Go Devils!) with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. I earned a Master's Degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University (still a Sundevil, though). My teaching experience includes Kindergarten/Kindersteps and First Grade in the Chandler and Paradise Valley Unified School Districts.

My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Arizona State University (Go Devils!) with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. I earned a Master's Degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University (still a Sundevil, though). My teaching experience includes Kindergarten/Kindersteps and First Grade in the Chandler and Paradise Valley Unified School Districts.
My Educational Philosophy
I am committed to instilling a love of learning in children, helping them accomplish their goals, and valuing their individual differences. I anticipate an exciting and productive year in 1st Grade!

I attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and graduated in 2000 with my BA in Elementary Education. During my senior year at Ball State, I was hired to substitute teach part-time for Muncie Community School District. I loved the schools within my community and knew that I wanted to be part of the district that educated my community and my children. Muncie Community Schools hired me to teach a Basic Skills Math Class for grades 9-12 and from there I moved into the elementary schools where I taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade, and Physical Education for grades K-5. After moving to Chandler, again I wanted to teach in the community where I live. I was hired to teach 2nd grade at Fulton. I have taught 2nd grade, Kindergarten, 1st grade and 6th grade at Fulton Elementary.
My Educational Philosophy
I chose teaching as my career because I have always wanted to give to and serve others. I found that teaching children is a happy and loving way to make this happen. Children say and do the most amazing things! Their abilities are limitless! I truly believe that every child has the ability to learn, and I am happy to be one of the steps along the road of their educational journey.

My Education and Professional Background
Originally from upstate New York, I moved to Arizona in 2005 and enrolled at Arizona State University, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education in 2008. I then received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership in 2011 from Northern Arizona University. My career in education began in 2008 as a Physical Education teacher in the Kyrene School District and then 5 years in CUSD. Then in 2016 I accepted my first administrative role at Santan Elementary. As for this year, I am very excited to be the assistant principal at Fulton and be part of the Fire. I look forward to working with all of the staff, students, and parents in continuing and building upon the success of Fulton.

I believe that every student is capable of learning and with the correct motivation and support they will be successful. In my opinion, it is vital that teacher instruction be geared toward each individual student, since every student learns in a different manner; the teacher must develop a relationship with each student and understand what their interests, abilities, and preferred learning styles are to meet their academic, social, and emotional needs. It is imperative to create an environment where students feel valued, are able to explore their passions, be able to express themselves, and are driven to be successful. My mission as the assistant principal is to help maintain a positive learning environment with set high standards on learning, performance, and citizenship. I will do this by integrating new programs, working with staff members on new strategies that are best suited for their classrooms and students, and by supporting the teachers here to the best of my ability.
