Schultz...
I am proud to be a Payne Panther! As the Assistant Principal, I will oversee 8th grade, transportation, and serve as the athletic director. In both of these areas I will work hard to instill positive character in the students at PJHS.
My Education and Professional Background
I hold a BA in Elementary Education from Wayne State University and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a MEd in Educational Leadership, both from Northern Arizona University. I taught Math at Willis Junior High for 13 years and served as the Dean of Students at Payne for three years. I became Assistant Principal of Payne Junior High in 2021.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe students learn most from their failures. Too often we strive for greatness with fear of failure but the only way to become great is to take chances and learn from our mistakes. Every student has the potential to achieve greatness so we must put them in situations where they feel empowered to be the best they can be.

My Education and Professional Background
I graduated Mesa Community College in 2018 with an Associate in Arts degree. I graduated May 2021 with ASU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences with a English Literature Bachelor's Degree and Teaching Certificate.
My Educational Philosophy
My philosophy: Creating positive teacher-student relationships has just as much priority as academic success. We want the students to make sure they understand the information as they are being taught - not after. I highly value academic progress in a student, and I want and believe that every student has the talent and skills to succeed for high school and beyond. Montenegro...
Bienvenidos! I am always excited for a new project as it will enhance our learning, contribute to our personal growth, meet new people and beyond. I have high expectations for myself and for my students. Let's try to make this the best school year possible!
My Education and Professional Background
I have an Associates Degree from CGCC, I obtained my BA degree from ASU in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Spanish. Moreover, I have many years of experience with working with youth. At one point, I taught boxing and I have worked as a youth care provider prior to graduating from college.
My Educational Philosophy
My philosophy of education consists of making our teaching applicable to the real world. Because if it is not applicable, then what's the point? I find that with teaching a foreign language, I can easily achieve that and I take great pride with that. Learning a foreign language can have a monetary value and well as cognitive. Those are a few things that I will be discussing with my students. I am all about making my class relevant to the world we live in.

Giaramita...
Gifted students require a special type of education where they are challenged, taught to use their intelligence in an effective manner, and exposed to new ideas. I have devoted my teaching career to furthering these goals by tailoring the teaching of reading and writing to the unique audience of gifted children.
My Education and Professional Background
I am a graduate of the College of Staten Island where I earned my Bachelor of History. I also hold two Master Degrees, one in School Administration from Northern Arizona State University and the other in Education from Arizona State University. I've been teaching Language Arts since 1999 and have taught in New York, Scottsdale, and Chandler. I have been teaching gifted students since 2007
My Educational Philosophy
In my classroom students will be presented with challenging problems and learn how to strategically think about them as well as articulate their ideas in powerful language. They will often read dense, abstract text and learn how to interpret, understand, and make connections between their world and the written page. I will teach your students everything I know about reading, writing, and thinking. I will expose them to new ideas, challenge them daily, and foster a supportive environment to help them grow.

Hansen...
Welcome to C.A.T.S. Science! This year is going to be filled with opportunities to explore our natural world through Geology, Astronomy, Genetics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. I am a mom to four children, one currently attending high school in Chandler. I have lived the challenges of educating C.A.T.S. as a parent and as a teacher. Teaching is not just a calling, but a passion. I am a lifelong learner who is always working to perfect my skills and grow as a teacher.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from ASU, Summa Cum Laude with ASU's Highly Qualified certifications in middle school science, STEM, and am completing my gifted certification. I've also earned a certificate in Environmental Education. This past summer, I attended the Honeywell Educator's Science Academy, and I can't wait to bring what I learned to my students. Teaching is my second career, having come from a Human Resources background in the Construction and Mining industries.
My Educational Philosophy
I utilize a variety of best teaching practices and methods of classroom management. High expectations, differentiation, student centered teaching, and knowing my student's individual needs form our classroom instruction. Because of my STEM and science background, I implement project/problem based learning to enrich our classroom experiences My primary goal is to help form lifelong learners who are productive citizens of a global community. Students will learn 21st Century Life Skills: Critical Thinking/Doing, Creativity, Collaboration, Cross-cultural Understanding, Communication, Computing, Career and Self-Sufficiency. Good science acts as the platform to launch your student toward responsible citizenry.

My Educational Philosophy
As an educator, I firmly believe that all of my students are capable of accomplishing great things. I strive to treat every student with the upmost empathy and respect as they navigate their first year of junior high, while teaching them the skills necessary to excel in eighth grade and beyond. It is my hope that my students leave the classroom at the end of the year prepared (and excited) for eighth grade!

About
d'Entremont...
Parents and students, Welcome! I am delighted to be a part of your school year. It is my desire that all students are successful in achieving their full potential. Our task together will be to make that possible, and my mission is to provide practical step-by-step assistance throughout this year.
My Education and Professional Background
Born and raised in Arizona, I am a product of Gilbert Public Schools (pre-k thru 12th grade). Soon after, I attended Arizona State University where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in History with an emphasis in Secondary Education in 2015. Throughout my time at ASU, I was a Dean's List student and graduated with Cum Laude honors. While teaching, I will pursue graduate work in Educational Leadership. During my program at ASU I completed four field experiences, three at the middle school level (two in Chandler Unified). My coursework was completed after finishing my fourth experience, student teaching at Red Mountain High School in Mesa. I have since had the pleasure of teaching social studies at Andersen Junior High from 2015-2018. I am now Payne Panther starting the 2018-2019 school year.
My Educational Philosophy
Being a learner-centered educator I value personal experiences, interests, and the needs of the individual. I strive to facilitate individuals through the educational process by providing a foundation, which they build upon through meaningful skill-based work. Students in my classroom control their own education, understand/appreciate their uniqueness, and assume responsibility for their actions. I firmly believe that positive recognition through rewards, incentives, and accountability will create a behavior for the better interest of an individual's learning.

Adey...
Welcome to Mr. Adey's webpage at Payne Junior High School
My Education and Professional Background
B.A., Elementary Education, ASU. M.E., Curriculum and Instruction, NAU Recipient of KTVK Channel 3's Silver Apple Award, 2012
My Educational Philosophy
Math is more about problem solving than numbers and equations. To become good at math is to become good at solving problems, and not just mathematical problems --- ordinary, everyday problems. How do I fix a flat tire? How do I get to work on time? What do I do if my phone doesn't work? To practice math is to exercise that part of your brain which is built to problem solve.

About
Quinn...
My name is Pat Quinn and it's really exciting to be at Payne Junior High. I will be teaching Physical Education to our students here and I hope to encourage all of them to use athletic, recreational or just plain exercise activities to keep them moving and using the appendages given at birth. Movement is great for the body and mind and I hope to give each student insight on how much fun moving can be, while also showing them the benefits it will have on their overall life.
My Education and Professional Background
My career started right here in the CUSD during July of 1993. From that point my journey has led me to have great moments as an elementary physical education teacher during Chandler's inaugural year of the year-round schedule at Galveston Elementary, to a junior high physical education teacher and coach at Andersen Junior high, to a high school biology and human anatomy teacher, as well as coach for football and wrestling at Hamilton High school for 19 years. My travels have led me to Payne junior high where I hope to encourage activity and a sense of self confidence to the students of this school utilizing both physcial education and sport. I had the opportunity to coach for Payne wrestling last year, as well as the golf club and both experiences were really encouraging and enjoyable. I hope to continue building relationships with the students of this school and work well with my colleagues to continue the success at Payne Junior High.
My Educational Philosophy
All people are genuiely kind, caring, and considerate. I live by these values and will continue to be kind, caring and considerate to all those around me. My philosophy is to show students why passion is amazing and that failure is something that happens not something that needs to be avoided. Failure shows you how to get better, while success builds confidence in those things you are already good at and I hope to give students the chance to experience both.

Welcome to 7th grade Science at PJHS! I am so excited to learn and grow with you this year.
My Education and Professional Background
The 2019-2020 school year is my first year teaching at Payne Junior High! I began my teaching career in 2012 with Gilbert Public Schools as a Paraprofessional which stirred my desire to become a certified classroom teacher. Upon completion of my certification coursework in 2016, I taught elementary Science and Math for 3 years at St. Mary-Basha Catholic School in Chandler AZ. I graduated from Northern Arizona University Summa Cum Laude and am highly qualified in Middle Grades Science, Math and ELA.
My Educational Philosophy
I agree with Johann Pestalozzi that, "Learning is a natural process resulting from a balance of heart, head, and hand." It is my job in the classroom to create a safe inclusive environment where hearts are nurtured, heads are challenged to grow, and hands have the opportunity to do Science.
