Many people say that they don't have musical talent or that they can't play music. I don't think that's true. What those people really are saying is, I haven't been taught how to play, I haven't had the chance to learn. Music is a wonderful language that is not limited to a gifted few. Rather, music is something that everybody can learn to do and enjoy.

Hello, I'm Ms. Reynoso!
My Education and Professional Background
B.S. in Ed. from NAU, Class of 2018
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that the purpose of education is to prepare. In my classroom, students will receive the tools that prepare them for civic and global participation in adult life through the practice of critical thinking to form opinions. In order to achieve this, I will use a pedagogy that focuses on calming fears through love and keeps diversity in mind so that I may play the various roles that a teacher must play in my students’ lives.

Hello, welcome to First Grade! This is going to be a year full of learning, fun, and growing. Let's work together to make this a successful year.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Purdue University in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. All of my years of experience are in primary grades Kindergarten-Second Grade. I am trained as a Reading Specialist. I continue to attend Professional Development classes to further my expertise and effectiveness as an educator.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe students are all unique and learn in different ways. I also believe we can help children learn to look past their limitations, and reach for the stars. In our room we learn a lot about the Growth Mindset, and how powerful our mistakes can be in the learning process. We persevere and learn that hard work and effort is what it takes to become a master of first grade skills. We are all leaders and be leaders of ourselves and others by being proactive in our learning and relationships with others.

My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education in 2006, and continued on to finish my Master's in Educational Psychology in 2008, also at ASU. I have experience teaching at the elementary level, as well as junior high math, before moving into my role as Math Coach.
My Educational Philosophy
Everyone is capable of learning in their own way and all students can be successful. Through my work, I hope to show both teachers and students that there is no such thing as being “bad” at math. With a foundational understanding, problem solving skills, and perseverance, anyone can be successful, even if it takes extra time. I hope those I work with will see that with continual effort, they can attain whatever they set their mind to. My own professional growth is also extremely important to the success of those around me. I strive to model lifelong learning through continual professional development, and analysis and reflection of my teaching and coaching practice. I hope those I’m impacting will realize the importance of lifelong learning and incorporate it into their own lives.
