    Welcome!

    Welcome to Tarwater Kindergarten! I am very excited to be a Tarwater Toro!. Kindergarten is a year full of social and academic growth. I look forward to this journey with each of my students.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Math. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Masters in Early Childhood Education. Besides my elementary teaching certificate, I have an Early Childhood Endorsement.  My past classroom experiences have been in both public and private schools.  I have taught both first grade and pre-kindergarten. The early childhood years are a definite favorite of mine!

    I grew up Northern California but remained in Arizona after graduating from University of Arizona. I currently live in Chandler with my husband and amazing twins.  Our twins are graduates of Basha High School. Our son is currently attending the University of Arizona, and our daughter is attending Chandler Gilbert Community College and Gateway Community College.  Spending time together as a family is very important to us.   I am so excited to be a part of the CUSD family as a teacher. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    Creating a safe and welcoming space, that makes each learner feel successful and confident is my goal. I will provide a structured, positive, loving environment where children have the opportunity to reach their academic potential. I believe that every child has their own unique talents, and I will do my best to help each child to become a successful learner, socially, emotionally, and academically. I hope to instill in students a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
