Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Mr. Toresdahl's class!
I am excited to be able to work in such a fantastic educational environment with incredible students. My Education and Professional Background
I am an Arizona native and a product of the Chandler Unified School District. I attended Goodman Elementary, Andersen Elementary, Andersen Jr. High, and Chandler High School. After graduating from Chandler High, I attended Arizona State University for Secondary Education and American Military University for my Master's degree in American History.
Before teaching at ACPHS, I had the privilege of working at Higley High School where I taught U.S./Arizona History, Geography, and World History. Following this, I worked at Andersen Jr. High School for seven years before returning to high school education.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that every child has the potential to be successful in the classroom and in life. It is the duty of the teacher to not only find a means to develop their abilities, but to create strong foundations of citizenship. By creating an inclusive classroom in which students feel comfortable to share opinions and new knowledge the educator enables their pupils to become thriving individuals.
