    Welcome to Payne Junior High PE. My name is Kyle Hartwig and I was born and raised in Arizona. In fact, I completed my elementary through high school education with the Chandler Schools. Fitness and sports have been a part of my life since I was a child. I played basketball all through high school at Hamilton High and have been coaching ever since. I started my coaching career at Hamilton high and have been coach jr. high basketball at Payne ever since.

    My Education and Professional Background

    • Earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education from Arizona State University in 2016
    • Coached basketball for Hamilton High
    • Coached for JV Basketball at Perry High
    • Coach basketball at Payne Jr high

    One interesting fact about me is that I come from a family of teachers and coaches. Both of my parents are teachers for the Chandler School District.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I am passionate about what I teach and want my students to feel the same passion about physical fitness. My job is to create a fun and exciting learning environment for each and every student. My goal is for every student to gain experience with new movements, skills, games and activities and to build a solid foundation of what it means to be physically fit and active!
