    My Education and Professional Background

    As a high schooler in New York,I loved my English teacher. She was so eclectic and inspirational, and I just KNEW what I wanted to be when I grew up the minute I met her!

    After high school, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University. The ever-present urge to continue my learning, led me to earn a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. CUSD provided me the opportunity to earn an endorsement in gifted education, which I put to good use daily. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    My philosophy of education stems from exploration. Where and when are we most willing to explore? In a supportive environment where mistakes are okay, questions are welcome, it’s okay to take risks, and working with others is an asset.

    As the mom of gifted children, and a former gifted child myself, I understand the trials and tribulations gifted learners go through. I am here to facilitate their learning and to be the someone our kids can lean on for support and encouragement.

    They are going to fail at things, but from that failure, will blossom the ability to overcome and succeed in their endeavors. I can’t wait to see where this year will take us all!
