    Welcome to ACP Middle School! As a math student at ACP, you have the benefit of learning content for which you have shown readiness. I'm excited to get to know and work with all of you!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I’m from Minnesota, where I grew up and received my BA. After college, I moved to southwest Kansas where I began teaching and also earned my MA in Educational Leadership. My family & I moved to Arizona over 25 years ago, and I continued teaching at the Kyrene and Dysart districts. For over a decade, I worked as a Principal, but found my heart is really with the kiddos in the classroom, so I found my way back to the classroom with the best district in the state for the last seven years!

    • MA in Educational Leadership (Fort Hays State University, Hays, KS)
    • AZ Certification in Elementary, Middle Level Math, K-12 Spanish, and SEI

    My Educational Philosophy

    It’s important to me that my students grow intellectually, emotionally, socially, and in their awareness of how they can contribute to the well-being of other people and society. I will instill a love of learning and help them better understand the world with which we live. I believe that for students to achieve optimal intellectual, emotional and social growth, we need to have a partnership between student, teacher and parent.
