    Welcome!

    Welcome to Room 22! I am looking forward to a rich and rewarding year in first grade with your children. This year, students will have an active and educational learning environment. It will be a year full of growth, collaboration, and creativity. I will help the students develop responsibility, confidence, and independent work habits. I am truly excited for this school year. Welcome to our classroom family in Room 22. This will be my 6th year teaching at Hancock Elementary and I'm looking forward to a new school year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am a native to Arizona and am a proud product of Chandler Schools. I graduated from Chandler High School-Go Wolves! Then, I attended Northern Arizona University where I received my degree in a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education. I have experience in 1st-3rd grade and in Special Education-specifically students with Autism.

    My Educational Philosophy

    My goal as your child’s teacher is to encourage each student to work diligently and to the best of their ability. I believe that all students are unique but can all achieve success. In my classroom, we learn the importance of building relationships with one another, to support our classmates, and have fun while learning. I strive to have all students become independent learners who are engaged and excited to learn. Our classroom will be a safe and positive learning environment for all. We will work together to help the children grow academically and socially.
