    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, San German Campus, with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and Voice Performance. Right after, I joined the Seminoles and graduated with a Master's in Arts Administration from Florida State University.  I started teaching Music Appreciation and Choir in various public and private schools in Puerto Rico. I have been teaching formally and informally since I can recall.  When I moved to New Mexico, after getting married, I taught Music and Spanish at all levels, from Pre-K to 12th grade.  In 2017, I have got the opportunity to be part of the Chandler Unified School district, teaching Choir and Spanish at a Middle School. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe every human being can learn regardless of their background, age, race, or circumstances. Everyone learns at their own pace and in different ways. My goal is for every student in my classroom to find their way as we create together the perfect environment for this learning experience. As a second language learner, I know the importance of providing a comfortable space, free of judgment where making mistakes is the norm and the best way of learning. I thrive to provide my students with a comfortable environment for them to explore language and find their passion through learning.
