About
Krahn...
Welcome to Mr. Krahn's Class!
My Education and Professional Background
I received my Bachelors degree in Secondary Education and History from Arizona State University in 2013 and I've been teaching every since. Over the course of my career I have taught World History, Honors World History, AP World History, U.S. History and Psychology.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that all students can learn. Therefore, I believe that before focusing on what I am teaching, I should focus on who I am teaching and establishing a culture of community in my classroom. I believe students should never be motivated by fear. Rather students should be allowed to use their natural curiosity to guide learning. I believe students should not simply be taught to memorize but to analyze, with their teacher acting as a guide and mentor. My goal is to share my love of learning and my passion for history with all my students. Students need highly qualified, dedicated individuals who are excited to work with them and I always strive to establish a personal relationship with each of my students.
