My Educational Philosophy

I believe that the purpose of education is to prepare. In my classroom, students will receive the tools that prepare them for civic and global participation in adult life through the practice of critical thinking to form opinions. In order to achieve this, I will use a pedagogy that focuses on calming fears through love and keeps diversity in mind so that I may play the various roles that a teacher must play in my students’ lives.
