Welcome to 7th grade Language Arts! We will be doing so many exciting things this year; I can't wait to get started!
My Education and Professional Background
I received a Bachelor of Arts in secondary education from Arizona State University (go Devils!). with minors of media analysis and women and gender studies. While at ASU, I completed my student teaching at Payne Junior High, and I am so thrilled to be back on the Payne team!
My Educational Philosophy
As an educator, I firmly believe that all of my students are capable of accomplishing great things. I strive to treat every student with the upmost empathy and respect as they navigate their first year of junior high, while teaching them the skills necessary to excel in eighth grade and beyond. It is my hope that my students leave the classroom at the end of the year prepared (and excited) for eighth grade!
