    We provide both a hard copy and an electronic copy of the graduation program once it is completed.

  • CAP AND GOWN PICK-UP

    If you could not pick up your cap, gown, and/or invitations on distribution day, they are available in the bookstore. 

    If you did not order from Josten's by the due date, items can also be purchased, cash only, from the bookstore. The costs are below:

    Cap only $10.00

    Cap and Gown $55.00

    Medallion only $10.00

    Tassel Only $15.00

    We wear a cap and gown to signify graduation and to graduate as one. Our uniformity displays togetherness and an "all the same" pride. Your cap and gown can not be altered in any way. You must wear the school-approved cap and gown, and caps cannot be decorated.  

    The tassel is placed on the right side of the mortarboard before graduation and moved to the left after graduation.

  • FINAL EXAMS

    Senior exams:

    Thursday, May 15th Periods 0-1-3-5

    Friday, May 16th, 2025 Periods 2-4-6

    All seniors must attend all of their classes on both days.

  • SENIOR CHECK-OUT

    Check-Out Dates:

    • May 12th-May 21st (checkout should be completed before graduation practice on May 22nd.)

    Senior check-out sheets will be handed out during English class in early May.  All textbooks must be returned to your teacher before May 22nd prior to completing your check-out in the bookstore, which is also by May 22nd.  If your teacher is unavailable, you may return your textbooks to the bookstore.

    Seniors may check out earlier than May 22nd, provided they return all laptops, textbooks, and uniforms and pay outstanding debts. Be sure to bring your completed check-out form to the bookstore. Mid-year graduates are required to check out in the bookstore prior to May 22nd. 

    Be sure to keep your check-out receipt. You will need it to receive your seating assignment card at Graduation Practice.

  • STOLES AND CORDS

    All cords and stoles are purchased in the bookstore. The following are the only approved honors chords and stoles:

    • Honors cords
      • Summa Cum Laude (GPA 4.5-5.0)- Silver
      • Magna Cum Laude (GPA 4.25-4.49)- Black
      • Cum Laude (GPA 3.75-4.24)- White
    • NHS Stoles- Yellow with royal blue lettering
    • IB Students- White hood with IB logo

  • GRADUATION PRACTICE- MANDATORY

    Who?  ALL CHS, Mid-year Grads & Alternative Schools

    When?   Monday, May 19th  A-L and Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.

    Where?  Chandler Center for the Arts (CCA) - Main Stage

    Why?  In-depth details about graduation are provided, including lineup/procession requirements, appropriate attire, and seating assignments. 8 Entry tickets will be given to each graduate.

  • TICKETS

    Each graduate will be given 8 tickets at their graduation practice. Ticket holders only, will be allowed entry into Austin Field. A link to the Livestream of the ceremony will be provided.

  • COMMENCEMENT DAY

    Student Line Up: Be in the designated location by 7:00 p.m. (Mountain America) and ready for roll call.

    Diplomas will be pulled for any student not in line by 7:00 p.m.  You will not be allowed to "walk" if you are late!  Leave your house early, so traffic, flat tires, etc. do not delay your arrival.

    Commencement begins at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at Chandler High School's Austin Field.

    Audience: Please do not bring foghorns or balloon bouquets to Austin Field. This is a courtesy to other families and friends who want to hear and see the ceremony.

  • COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES

            Processional- The procession will be led by graduates in alpha order and played by the CHS Band. Seniors, please remain standing and quiet.

             Presentation of Colors-AFJROTC

             National Anthem-performed by CHS Band and Chorale

             Welcome and Introductions by Senior Class Officers – you may be seated

             Speeches and Music-remain seated

             Presentation of Class- Mr. Milbrandt will ask the class to please rise to be presented to the Board of Education. After the presentation, the class will sit to await the awarding of diplomas.

  • AWARDING OF DIPLOMAS

    • Each row will stand in unison, one row at a time.  Do not crowd!
    • Do not go to the podium until it’s your turn to give the reader your name card.
    • Name cards will be given while you are seated.
    • You will be given your diploma cover as you walk onto the stage ramp.
    • Please hold the cover with your left hand as you will be handing your name card to the reader with your right hand.
    • As your name is read, you will walk on stage and shake hands with a CUSD Board or Cabinet member with your right hand and exit stage down the center aisle.
    • After your name is called, DO NOT do anything to draw attention away from the student in line behind you. Please walk calmly back to your seat. Diplomas will be handed out once you return to your seat.

    *PLEASE remind your family and friends not to bring foghorns or balloon bouquets.

    • After the last name is called, the Board or Cabinet member will congratulate the Class of 2024 ask you all to stand, and instruct you to move your tassels from right to left.
    • Remain standing for the closing remarks.
    • After the closing remarks, stand to sing the Alma Mater.

    During the ceremony proper behavior is expected. Do not behave in such a manner as to embarrass yourself or your family or you will be escorted out of the arena. Walk and sit up straight; do not chew gum; no use of electronic devices!

    NOTE: If you receive the wrong diploma, please hold it until after the ceremony. Return it to Mrs. Graffeo in the registrar's office, and she will make the correction.

    REMEMBER if behavior is inappropriate, commencement exercises may be stopped and diplomas will be issued through the Principal's office on May 28th.

  • PARKING AT CHANDLER HIGH

    Free parking is available in all lots located around campus. Free parking is also available in the Parking Structure located across Chandler Blvd on California Street.

  • CLEAR BAG POLICY

    We have a clear bag policy. Graduates and guests will be asked to return items to their cars if they do not meet the standard.

  • REQUESTING TRANSCRIPTS

    If you are planning on attending a four-year University, Community College or vocational training program and the school requires final transcripts, you will use Parchment.com for your requests.
