Human Growth and Development
Dear 6th grade Parent or Guardian,
Chandler Unified School District provides resources for teaching children about their changing bodies. This information can be helpful for children to learn about and discuss the physical and emotional changes occurring in the body during puberty. Use the links below to access the resources pertaining to Human Growth and Development. The resources in this document will be presented in the classroom setting. Students may participate only with signed permission. Should you choose not to have your child participate in viewing the resources at school, you can choose to view them at home with your child. You will be receiving communications from your school about the dates and times this information will be presented in the classroom.
6th Grade: Puberty and Human Growth & Development
Sixth grade students have the opportunity to participate in an educational curriculum to inform them about human growth and development. The curriculum is available in two options. The first, is for home use. Parents/guardians can access the three narrated 6th grade PowerPoints from home to deliver as you determine. The second option for students to experience this curriculum is at school. The same narrated PowerPoints will be used. Parental/guardian permission is required. If permission is not granted, the student will not be included in the human growth and development curriculum at school. Preview the resources in the links below:
