The Governing Board, Superintendent Dr. Camille Casteel, the City of Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke and councilmembers honored students, staff, and volunteers at the District Night of Recognition on February 5 at the Chandler Center for the Arts. Isaac Knox of Hill Learning Academy-ICAN, provided entertainment on the piano and Olyvia Lara of Chandler High performed a vocal. Basha/Perry/Casteel High Air Force ROTC presented the colors, while Allie Tam of CTA-Independence sang the National Anthem.

The Andersen Junior High jazz band, led by Scot Lewis, provided entertainment, Basha/Perry/Casteel High JROTC presented the colors, and Ava Barela of Bogle Junior High sang the National Anthem. State and national champions for the 2018-2019 school year will be recognized at a separate event later this year.
