About
Kennedy...
Welcome to Ms. Kennedy's webpage. I'm honored to be an orchestra teacher in the Chandler Unified School District and to work with aspiring musicians. My hope is to instill the love of music in my students and to create musicians and music lovers for the next generation.
My Education and Professional Background
BA Music K-12 University of Southern Colorado / MA Secondary Education w/ music minor University of Northern Arizona Started teaching orchestra in 1985 - Alamogordo, NM 1985-1994 - Chandler Unified School District since 1994
My Educational Philosophy
My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. Music is one of the many paths that students can engage in to help in the growth of all four areas. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential at the same time as learning to appreciate and love music. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas, take risks and develop their musical potential.
