Franklin R. Narducci
Superintendent of Chandler Unified School DistrictFranklin R. Narducci is the 7th Superintendent leading the A-rated, Chandler Unified School District. The district is state’s second largest school district, with over 43,000 students and 5,000 employees.
Prior to his selection as Superintendent in January 2022, Mr. Narducci served as Interim Superintendent of Schools from July 1 - December 31, 2021. He has served the Chandler community in his roles as a principal, director, and assistant superintendent for the past twenty-five years. Under his leadership, Chandler Unified School District’s Community Education Department was formed, schools have received both state and national recognition for academic excellence and innovative programming including: the National Blue-Ribbon Award; America’s Best; Arizona Education Foundation A+ Schools of Excellence; and selected school site to kick-off the National Department of Education’s America’s Promise Schools.
A dynamic and energetic leader, Mr. Narducci is well known for his work in the field of education. He has taught educational leadership and theory courses as an adjunct staff member for Northern Arizona University and is an advocate for Early Childhood Education, having served on the East Maricopa County First Things First Council (Arizona’s Statewide Birth – Five Early Childhood Initiative). In addition, his past and current work with the City of Chandler’s Educational Coalition, Downtown Chandler Community Partnership, Chandler Education Foundation, Chandler/Gilbert YMCA, and Read-on-Chandler is reflected in the support these organizations provide our community.
Mr. Narducci has received numerous recognitions, including National Distinguished Principal, Chandler Chamber Administrator of the Year, and was featured in the June 2018 Chandler Lifestyle Magazine as one of the Amazing Men of Chandler. He also received the Si Se Puede Foundation’s Cesar E. Chavez Educator of the Year Award, First Things First Service Award, and was recognized for his leadership role with the Chandler Downtown Community Partnership.
Frank was born in New York City where he attended primary school and attended intermediate through high school in Tucson, Arizona. He is a graduate of the University of Arizona where he was a member of the inaugural PAC-10 track team and received his BA in Elementary Education and MA in Educational Leadership. He earned his administrative certification from Arizona and was honored as the College of Education’s Alumni of the Year.
Frank is honored to continue to serve the students, families, and staff of the Chandler Unified School District in this new capacity.
