                                            Classroom Procedures

Welcome to the CHS Agriculture Program.  I am glad to have you here and hope that your enrollment in this class will provide a meaningful education experience.   For everything to go smoothly we need some guidelines.  Please make sure that you understand them and follow them so that all can enjoy the courses and activities associated with the program.

    CLASSROOM POLICIES AND COURTESIES

    1.  Come to class on time!  Be in your seat with your notebook, pencil and required books when the bell rings.  Being late is a poor habit that employers dislike.   Being late is disruptive to the rest of the class and will cost you points toward your grade.  If you are late, bring a pass or it will be a tardy!  More than 15 minutes late = absence.

              a.  First Tardy = Verbal Warning

    b.  Second Tardy = 10 pts off citizenship grade

    c.  Third Tardy = 25 pts off citizenship grade and parent contact

    d.  Four or more Tardies will result in 50 pts off grade plus referral to Saturday School

**USING THE RESTROOMS IN THE BUILDING IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR TARDINESS!

    2.  Show your manners by; abstaining from swearing, respecting school and other Students’ property i.e. tables, chairs, bulletin boards, books, tools, equipment, backpacks, pencils, books, etc.

    3.  Treat other students and teacher with respect and common courtesy.

    4.  Remain seated in the classroom until dismissed by the teacher.

    5.  When performing lab work, move to the labs quickly and begin to work in a timely manner and finish all tasks assigned to you.

    6.  Put away tools and equipment in labs every time you work there.
