    Chandler Traditional Academy Program

The Chandler Traditional Academy (CTA) program is an educational option offering distinctive English Language Arts and math curriculum on an advanced basis. The CTA schools instruct using the phonics-based Spalding English Language Arts and the MyMath and Glencoe math programs. The math is advanced one grade level above the student’s assigned grade level. The CTA program focuses on developing a solid foundation of fundamental and higher level thinking skills through a structured curriculum that is consistent within each grade level and sequential throughout the grades. The CTA program offers a specified dress code, homework expectations, and parent volunteering expectations. Science, social studies, physical education, music, library, and technology content areas are also provided at all CTA sites.

There are currently five full CTA campuses and four dual-track campuses in the Chandler Unified School District. The dual-track campuses provide both the traditional academy and the classic elementary program in order to offer choice to families who want one or the other option for their children.
