Chandler schools dominated the Arizona Science and Engineering Fair (AzSEF) held at the Phoenix Convention Center from April 6th - 8th, 2016, winning Best of Fair for both Elementary and Sr. High divisions.
To give some perspective, although Chandler Unified educates only about 3% of the students in Arizona, our students took home approximately 25% of the state's elementary division awards, another 25% of the junior high division awards, and an amazing 40% of the senior high division awards! Hamilton High School also won Best of Fair in the Senior Division... for the third year in a row. Incredible job!
AzSEF is the science and engineering fair for the state of Arizona and is managed by Arizona Science Center. School, homeschool, district, county and regional science fair first place winners from across Arizona compete at AzSEF for recognition, prizes and scholarships. Grand Award winners from the Senior High School Division go on to compete at the prestigious Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) which will be held in Phoenix this year from May 8-13, 2016. We are proud to announce that 10 out of the 15 Grand Award winning students from Arizona who will proceed to the International Fair hail from Chandler Unified School District!
Scroll down to see the details and photos (as we add them) about our fabulous schools and Science and Engineering Fair award-winning students. (Schools are listed in alphabetical order below.)
