The Chandler Unified School District proudly celebrates the achievement of its students recognized among the best and brightest from around the world.
This year's Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair has announced the recipients of the Grand and Special Awards for 2021.
CUSD students included among these winners are to be commended for their efforts and contributions to the advancement of science and technology and for the betterment and benefit their work will provide.

Arizona College Prep - Erie Campus (2020-2021)
Congratulations to Aahana Dugar, Blake Enwiller and Nevan Hanford of ACP Erie who were recognized among the best and brightest from around the world at the virtual 2021 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair. Aahana, Blake and Nevan were Grand Award winners, earning 4th place overall and $500 for the project titled The Degradation of Polystyrene (Styrofoam) by Tenebrio Beetles and Their Larvae. Michelle was a Special Award winner, earning the US Air Force and USAid Global Health (1st Place) awards for the project titled A Novel Way to Treat Burn Wound Infections Using Flavonoids. Anshul was a Special Award winner, earning the Oracle Academy and The University of Arizona awards for the project titled Detecting Microbial Contaminants in Water Using Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning Algorithms in Order to Prevent the Spread of Waterborne Illnesses.
