    Welcome!

    Welcome To Hill Academy :)

I'm so glad you’re here! As part of our community; students and families will experience support and academic possibilities. Let's create, collaborate, and connect across the next days, weeks, months and years to reach success.

    Let’s Rise!

    My Education and Professional Background

I was born in Arizona but spent many years living in El Paso, Texas, then moved back to Arizona my junior year of high school.

I graduated from Glendale High School.  Then I attended several community colleges until transferring to ASU.  I earned my Bachelor of Science with an emphasis on Justice Studies.  After working with at-risk young people, I went back to school to earn my Master's in Counseling and a Master's in Education Curriculum and Instruction.

I have worked for CUSD since 2004 as a school counselor and have loved every experience.  It's been an honor to have partnered with ASU as an American Dream parent facilitator, recognized as an FFA Leadership supporter,  MLK Leadership Award recipient,  IB Leader,  CUSD Apple Achievement Award recipient, the Si Se Puede Leadership Award recipient, and the Chandler Gilbert Community College Teal & Silver Award recipient.

In my free time I like to read, hike, and explore the world with my husband and two kids.

    My Educational Philosophy

Our community has the ability to learn new patterns of thought and behavior when we are brave and humble enough to try.
By setting a space and time to listen and learn, personal growth can happen.
