    Welcome!

    Hello and welcome to COA, my name is Mr Melone. I am originally from Chicago, IL (go Cubs, Bears, Bulls!) but have lived in Arizona for the past 15 years. I have two sons who are in 8th and 3rd grades, and my wife is also a kindergarten teacher that works in the Higley school district.
    Good luck, I look forward to working with you all, and I hope you enjoy this class!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I completed my bachelor's degree in Political Science at Northern Illinois University, and shortly after completed my master's degree in Secondary Education at the University of Phoenix. As a highly qualified teacher of Government/Economics/History, I also hold a certificate in physical education.  This is my 11th year of teaching with the Chandler Unified School District. I teach at Hamilton High School and taught with Chandler Online Academy over the past few years.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I enjoy teaching due to my passion for helping students understand the importance of our country's history, economy, and government and how they can become active participants in their communities, states, and country!
