    Welcome!

    Welcome to Mrs. Hughes 3rd grade class. I am so excited to have your child in my class this year! I know we are going to have an amazing year that will be full of learning, building our classroom community, and lots of friendships! I look forward to getting to know your child as a person and as a learner throughout this school year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been teaching at CUSD since 2022. Prior to that, I spent 8 years teaching 4th grade in Maricopa! I have a total of 10+ years in education, with my first 4 years before getting my teaching certificate working with before and after-school kids at a childcare facility. I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from Arizona State University! 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that all children are unique and have something special that they can bring to their own education. I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well as brace the differences of others. I aim to bring an open mind, a positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I believe that I owe it to my students, as well as to our community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in the children I teach as well! ♥
