Beginning in second grade, students will participate in the Accelerated Reading program (A.R.). Students will read and test on books on their reading level. As they take tests, they will earn points towards a quarterly goal. Goals and reading levels are set based on each child's performance on a test. One of the two goals will always be to maintain a percent correct above 85%. Students should be reading for at least 20 minutes per night on an appropriate A.R. book.

A.R. Bookfind is a great resource to use to determine a books reading level on the A.R. program. You can simply type in the title and if it is an A.R. book, it will provide quiz number, level, and point value.
