    Hello, my name is Ms. Gillis and I’m the school counselor here at Frye Elementary. I am excited to be a part of the Frye family and working with all our amazing students and families. I was born and raised in sunny South Florida and moved to Arizona in 2015. I am having a great time exploring this amazing state and especially love the mountains.     My Education and Professional Background

    I received my undergraduate and graduate degree from Saint Thomas University in Miami, Florida. I have over 18 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a counseling role.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe all students have the ability to grow academically, socially and emotionally. I also feel that it is important to seek assistance when needed so that growth can happen and having a positive growth mindset is a key component. I am excited to be a part of the Frye team to assist each student become a leader and flourish in all areas.
