Welcome to the Willis ELD Program! I look forward to helping each of my students be and do their best in learning English. With effort, focus, and lots of practice, we will be successful.
My Education and Professional Background
I received a bachelors degree (French Education) and my masters degree (TESOL) at the State University of New York at Albany. A lifelong learner, I have also taken classes in history, economics, and several other languages. I have taught a variety of students within many different learning situations. From public schools in the US, France, and the United Arab Emirates, to college classes in the US and Japan, I have had the privilege of working with school-aged students, to refugees, to adults. After several years of traveling and teaching overseas, I am happy to be home in Arizona and back with CUSD.
My Educational Philosophy
Teach from the Heart. We are all part of humanity; with respect, grace, and humor, we can learn from each other. Additionally, routines, procedures, organization, and a desire to learn will keep us on track.
