    Welcome!

    Welcome to the Speech and Language website, Jets! I am so grateful and excited to be the new speech-language pathologist at Jacobson and share my love for the field with you.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my Master of Health Science degree in Communication Science and Disorders with an Emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Missouri in 2016. I also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2013. I have experience working in elementary, middle and high school settings and have been working in CUSD since 2018. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that speech and language therapy is not "one size fits all" and is best implemented as children are supported as individuals first with unique needs, strengths, passions and personal goals. My goal is to help children understand the importance of therapy and how they can use tools to support communication both in and out of the classroom. Collaboration with classroom teachers is imperative to ensuring the student's needs are met throughout the entire school day.
