    Welcome to Second Grade! We will have a fantastic year! Wonderful and exciting things happen in our classroom. It is a year where tremendous growth occurs academically and socially. I look forward to sharing this journey with you!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2004 with my degree in education. I accepted a position and moved to Arizona in 2005. I have taught kindergarten, 3rd grade, and my favorite, Second Grade! I have 2 children that attend Chandler schools.

    My Educational Philosophy

    In Second Grade, I feel that it is important to provide a fun and safe learning environment full of exploration and inquiry. Our day is developmentally appropriate and collaborative so that students are engaged while working together and independently. Students are encouraged to explore and reflect on their learning so that they can become critical thinkers and find meaning in their everyday learning.
