    Welcome!

    Hello, welcome to 4th Grade! My name is Taryn Hakim (some of you may know me as Ms. Huston) and I am thrilled to be your child's 4th grade teacher. I was born and raised in Arizona and love it here! I am married to my wonderful husband Adam and we have two children who attend Jacobson, Decker and Payton. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and spending time outdoors (when it's nice out of course).

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Arizona State University (GO DEVILS!) in December 2017 with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. This is my 7th year as a Jacobson Jet, and I am so blessed to be part of such a great community. I can't wait to see what this year has in store for us!

    My Educational Philosophy

    My goal as an educator is to have a classroom environment where all students are held to high expectations in everything they do. We are a family and I always want them to know how much I care for them. Building those strong relationships within our classroom community is something I am very passionate about. My goal is for students to love learning and to have fun while doing it! I hope to create life-long memories with my students in the classroom while taking this journey through 4th grade together!
