    Welcome!

    My name is Melissa Brown and I would like to welcome you to my classroom. My husband Chris and I have two amazing boys at home. Aiden is ten and Zachary is seven. When I'm not teaching or spending time with my family, I LOVE all sports! I played volleyball, basketball, and softball all through high school and have now started to play pickleball.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am a native Arizonan and attended Mesa Public Schools. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from ASU in 2005 and completed my Master of Arts degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology in 2010. I began teaching in 2006 and have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    My goal is to help guide my students in achieving their true potential by providing a learning environment where students feel safe, nurtured, and respected. Every child has the right to a quality education that is interactive and challenging. I believe a strong partnership between home and school is crucial to the success of our learners! It is my desire to create life-long learners that are excited to come to school every day!
