Welcome!
Hello, my name is Mrs. Leticia Lazna. I’m married and have three children and 4 small dogs. I love spending time with family and friends and reading mystery books. As of 2021, I officially became a “Grandma” and ABSOLUTEY LOVE IT!!
My Education and Professional Background
I have worked in the specialized classrooms at Conley for over 9 years, having graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I began my specialized teaching journey at Conley initially as a volunteer, then as a substitute and a paraprofessional. Working at Conley was such a wonderful experience that I went back to school and got my master’s degree in Special Education from the University of North Dakota.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that as an educator it is my responsibility to give my students the opportunity to learn and grow through multiple techniques. Those techniques can support students to use and build on their individual strengths. In our specialized classroom, we implement ways of learning through visuals, hands on (tactile, sensory) and small/whole groups settings to make learning fun - and to make connections and provide meaning to what is being taught.
