• Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre!  

    Who: Any 4th, 5th, or 6th grade student who loves to sing and wants to sing with a great group of kids! Musical Theatre at Fulton Elementary is a place for students who want to express themselves through performing arts and have fun in the process. In this club, students will learn more about what it means to be in an ensemble and work with other students toward a common goal. This year, the Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre will produce Annie Jr. 

    When: Most rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:40 am to 8:25 am. Rehearsals will start on Tuesday, October 15th and continue until Wednesday, February 26th. Rather than have everyone at all the rehearsals, specific rehearsal days will be assigned. Please see the attached schedule for specific rehearsal dates, times, and locations (cast required TBD). NEW THIS YEAR: Mrs. Foster will be joining our team as an acting coach! This will increase efficiency and allow us to run multiple scenes at the same time. 

    The Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre will participate in four events during this time: the CUSD Choral Festival (January 21st or 22nd), a school performance (February 26th), an evening performance (February 26th), and an evening performance (February 27th). 

    ***Please Note: The Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre will not meet on the following dates: November 27th, December 24th, 25th, 31st, January 1st ***

    Where: Rehearsals will be held in the Fulton Music Room.

    Cost: $200. This includes: a musical theatre t-shirt, instruction, licensing rights to Annie Jr., scripts (for leads), set-design, props, music, a field trip to perform at the CUSD Choral Festival at the Chandler Center for the Arts (January 21stor 22nd) and two cast lunches (January 21st or 22nd + February 26th). 

    We cannot accept tax credit payments for this program. Parents are responsible for providing a costume based on the part(s) assigned to their child. Costume guidelines/ideas will be provided. Most costumes cost $40-$50.

    Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre members and parents agree to abide by the following rules. Failure to abide may result in dismissal from the Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre.

    Behavior 

    • Make good choices, use kind words, show respect, involve yourself (sing your very best!), care for our room. 

    Rehearsal and Performance Attendance 

    • Be on time to ALL rehearsals and performances.
      • Most rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:40 am to 8:25 am beginning on Tuesday, October 15th and continuing until Wednesday, February 26th. Please see the attached schedule for specific rehearsal dates, times, and locations. 
      • The Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre will participate in four events during this time: the CUSD Choral Festival (January 21st or 22nd), a school performance (February 26th), an evening performance (February 26th), and an evening performance (February 27th). 
      • The Fulton Fire Choir: Musical Theatre will not meet on the following dates: November 27th, December 24th, 25th, 31st, January 1st
    • Parents should notify Mrs. Landi if their student will be absent from rehearsal (illness or family emergency). Two unexcused absences may result in removal from the performance. 

    Performance Attire

    • Parents are responsible for providing a costume for their child for Annie Jr. performance based on the part(s) assigned to their child. Costume guidelines/ideas will be provided, and most costumes cost $40-$50. 

    Drop Off 

    This year, rehearsal drop off will take place at the school bus loading zone located off Iowa St. 

    • Please drop students off at the school bus loading zone promptly between 7:35 am – 7:40 am.
    • Mrs. Landi will be in the bus loading area at 7:35 am. She will accompany the students back to her classroom at 7:40 am. 
    • When dropping off, please enter through the south gate, pull all the way forward (to keep the flow of traffic going), and exit through the north gate. 

    If you do arrive after 7:40 am, your child will go in through the front office and proceed directly to the music room. *
