    Welcome to Kindergarten!! I have high expectations for all students to do their best in the classroom. We will be learning from each other and having fun at the same time.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I was born and raised in South Phoenix. I attended Arizona State University and received my Bachelor of Arts in Education degree in December 1998 and Master's degree in Reading Education in May 2002. I have a Elementary Teaching certificate which includes: Early Childhood, Gifted, SEI, ESL, and Reading Specialist endorsements. I taught in the Roosevelt School District #66 in South Phoenix for 19 years, 17 years in Kindergarten and 2 years in 1st grade. I am trained in various reading, writing and math programs. I have completed the Kagan Cooperative Learning Structures training.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe if you try, you will succeed. I teach the students to try their best in all areas of the classroom. Parent support is also part of the students' process to try their best in the classroom.
