    My Education and Professional Background

    I am fortunate to have worked doing what I love for over 20 years. I attended New Mexico State University where I earned my Masters degree in School Counseling. My career experience includes elementary and middle school counseling in different states, including New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Washington D.C, and now Arizona.

    My Educational Philosophy

    As a school counselor, I am at San Marcos Elementary to help every child succeed and feel they are working to be the best student they can be. I believe students of all ages are problem-solvers and come with a wealth of knowledge and experiences that enrich our school community. I believe that everyday is a fresh start thus embrace and encourage each student to develop a growth mindset so that even when they have not mastered something, they can tell themselves, I can't do that....YET! I will keep working on it!
