• Setting up Office 2016 at Home

If you had previously installed Office 2016 at home using your CUSD Office 365 account, you should log in to that software using your new account to make sure your software is correctly activated and to grant it access to your cloud storage. This will be much easier if you signed out of your account in the software as described in the previous “Preparation” section.

    1. Office 365 Sign In Open up any Office 2013/2016 program (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Make sure all other Office 2013/2016 programs are closed.
    2. Click on the File tab, select the Account option, and click the Sign in button (or click the Sign in link in the upper-right corner).
    3. When prompted, enter your CUSD e-mail address (for most users, this will be lastname.firstname@cusd80.com).
    4. If prompted, enter your CUSD password (if available, check the Remember my credentials box if you want Office to remember this in the future).

If these steps are followed correctly, you will see your name and user information display in the program, and it should now display in all of your Office 2013/2016 programs without any further action.

These instructions are available in printable form or video form below.

If you were not using Office 2016 at home before the username change, why not install it after the change? All CUSD employees and students can install the full version of Office 2016 for free on up to 5 personal computers or laptops (Windows or Mac). At home, log on to Office 365 by visiting our Staff Links page (or cusd80.com/office365) and click on the Install Office 2016 button at the top of the page to begin your free installation.
