    Hello and Welcome!!!

    I am Mrs. Taylor-Lee, call me Mrs. Lee. I will be your child's 5th grade teacher.     A little about myself, I am a Mom of 5 boys in an amazing blended family. My sons range in age from 15-25. They are a ton of fun and keep me on my toes. My husband's name is Sammy and as you know, we recently got married. We share many interests, including paddle boarding, watching movies, and weight lifting. Independently, I enjoy cooking, crocheting, refinishing furniture, going to lunch with friends, coaching girls football and softball, as well as listening to audio books.
    I am very excited to be your child's teacher this year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I have been in education for the past 25 years.  I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I graduated with my BA in Elementary Education with a minor in Language Arts from Ottawa University, Phoenix Campus.  I began my teaching career in Early Childhood Education.  I taught preschool and kindergarten for 15 years total. I thought I would never leave early childhood education until I made the big jump to 4th grade. I spent 6 years loving 4th graders. Of course, next came 5th grade and I loved every second of my 4 years with those unbelievable students. Now, it is my pleasure to teach your phenomenal group of 5th graders.    The theme here is that once you fall in love with teaching, it doesn't matter which grade level you teach because you just love it all.  :)  

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that every child should have the opportunity to learn. I will do my best everyday to help your child reach their academic goals, and to grow both socially and emotionally throughout the year. I believe in teaching the whole child not just academics. I believe in open communication. I will let you know about all of the good stuff and...the not so good stuff. :) I am partnering with you to teach your child.
