    Welcome!

    Welcome! Allow me to introduce myself. I grew up in Wisconsin and moved out to Arizona in 1991. I am married to a wonderful man and we have a beautiful daughter who just graduated from Macalester College and is now living in Boston. . I love to play the piano, read, put together puzzles and play with my family's two dogs. I look forward to getting to know all of you this year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    A few years after graduating with a bachelors degree in psychology from Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin, I received my teaching certificate from ASU. I taught 6th grade for 7 years in the Pendergast School District before moving out to the East Valley. Since then, I taught 5th grade at Goodman Elementary and 6th grade for Weinberg (when Weinberg 6th grade was located on Payne Jr. High's campus). Since 2008 I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach 5th grade here at Patterson Elementary.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I love to teach because I enjoy helping children learn. I believe all children are capable of doing amazing things. My job is to give them tools to become the best person they can be. Learning is not always easy, and I am here to help students achieve more than they think they can.
