    Welcome!

    Welcome to First Grade! I am delighted to be your child's teacher this year. We will be making new discoveries, learning, and growing daily. My goal is for your child to come to school excited and leave enriched.
    A little about me...
    I'm an Arizona native who loves the sunshine.
    On the weekends, I enjoy watching movies, hiking, baking, and spending time with my husband and our two children. I love teaching and first grade is definitely my favorite grade to teach. I'm looking so forward to working with you and your family this year.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from NAU with my Bachelors in Education in 2005. Before coming to Patterson, I spent 8 years teaching first grade and 2 years teaching second grade. I have been at Patterson since 2015 and absolutely love our school and the families we serve. I'm so excited about getting to know you and your child.  Here's to a great year!  

    My Educational Philosophy

    My goal is to instill a love of learning into every student I teach. I believe that if a student enjoys school when they are young, that love for learning will continue throughout their education. This foundation is critical in building lifelong learners. I believe we never stop learning and making new discoveries. I love to learn and am excited about our daily activities. I strive to pass that excitement onto my students. In my classroom students know they are loved, valued, and capable of success.
